All plans come with storage

Upload assets at no extra cost as long as their combined totals stay within your plan’s storage:

If you outgrow your plan, you can upgrade it gradually. See below for more details.

Need more?

No problem. Add as much as you’d like to your plan:

After deleting assets, you can scale down storage to receive an immediate credit* towards future storage or subscription fees. The credit is prorated by the minute, providing you with exact control over your extra storage costs.

* Credit is applied to your Nira account. It is not applied as a refund to your payment method.

Still not sure how much your plan will cost?

Simply sign up for a trial, upload your assets, and check the billing page to view the exact cost of any plan.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does asset storage work?

Your account features an expandable storage pool for triangles, textures, and photos. When you upload an asset, it will occupy a portion of this storage pool. The amount consumed will depend on the number of triangles, photo pixels, and texture pixels in your asset.

What if I want to upload an asset but I don't have enough storage for it?

You’ll be prompted to expand your storage pool by the necessary amount to accommodate the asset. If you prefer not to expand your storage, you can delete one or more existing assets to free up space for the new one.

How much will it cost to expand my asset storage pool?

You can expand your storage pool in increments of 100 million triangles, 10 gigapixels of textures, or 20 gigapixels of photos. Please refer to the additional storage table above for pricing for each. Since storage is added in these increments, you may have extra space left after expanding your pool and uploading an asset. Any remaining space can be utilized for other assets.

How much storage pool capacity is already included with each plan?

Please see the table above.

Can I decrease the size of my storage pool after deleting assets?

Yes. Go to your billing page, use the − (minus) buttons next to the capacity types you wish to decrease, and then click the “Change Capacity” button. After you submit the change, you’ll receive a prorated account credit that will be automatically applied to future billing, rather than refunded to your payment method.

I’m a drone service provider and it’s difficult for me to predict the output quality level of my 2D and 3D map. How can I know how much it will cost me to upload an asset?

Most desktop photogrammetry tools let you specify the desired quality for creating your maps. However, factors like sensor resolution, distance to the subject, and photo overlap make it difficult to predict the exact final data size. For instance, this model was processed from 620 photos taken with a 20-megapixel sensor (totaling 12.4 gigapixels), resulting in a model with approximately 6.5 million triangles and 2 gigapixels (GP) of textures. With the lowest priced Individual plan, you can host up to eight models of this size before needing to upgrade your photo storage. You’ll also have ample storage for additional models without needing to upgrade your triangle or texture storage pools. Once you’ve uploaded eight models of this size, you can add more photo storage incrementally — an extra 20 gigapixels costs $1 per month. All storage pools can be upgraded independently and incrementally so you can grow your storage as your business and services expand. When an asset is deleted, the storage space it occupied is available for future assets. You can also reduce your storage usage to earn credit toward your future billing period.

Is there a file or asset size limit for assets?

There are no hard limits or maximums for all plans.

Will the viewing experience be impacted if I upload more triangles, textures, or photos?

You can upload an unlimited number of textures and photos without adversely impacting viewing performance. For the best viewing experience and quickest load times, we recommend keeping the triangle count to 100 million or fewer for each asset.

Why does Nira often refer to triangles and gigapixels rather than file sizes?

Triangle and pixel counts provide a more accurate representation of the server resources required to view your assets. For example, a 16K PNG texture can range from over 500 MB to as little as 1 MB. However, viewing a 16K texture in Nira demands the same resources, irrespective of the file size.

What is a Gigapixel?

A Gigapixel (GP) refers to 1 billion pixels. Texture or photograph sizes are typically measured in Megapixels (MP), which represent millions of pixels. For example, a single 8K texture (8,192 × 8,192 pixels) is 67.11 MP. Most photos range from 12 MP to 45 MP, while some high-end sensors can capture 120 MP or more per photo. A single 32K texture is equal to exactly 1 GP, as are 16 x 8K textures or 50 x 20 MP photos. An orthomosaic image can easily exceed multiple gigapixels. Nira supports assets with an unlimited number of textures and photos.

Which plan should I choose if I want to embed assets into my website?

To embed an asset viewer directly into your website using an iframe tag, you need to be subscribed to a Professional plan. All plans, however, allow you to include a URL or image link on your webpage or social media that will open an asset in Nira.

What applications are supported by Nira?

Nira supports all applications that can output 3D mesh data as either an OBJ, STL, PLY, ABC, DAE, FBX, glTF, or GLB. We suggest using OBJ when exporting from most applications, especially photogrammetry applications (e.g., RealityCapture, 3DF Zephyr, ContextCapture, Agisoft Metashape, DJI Terra, or Pix4DMapper). Read more about our support for particular applications here, and our support for various file formats here, including camera, design overlays (DXF), and 2D images (i.e., textures, photos, and orthomosaic).

Are there limits to how many users have access to my assets?

No, you can easily share your assets via a simple URL, allowing anyone with the link to view, analyze, measure, and annotate the content. There is also an option to set a password for each asset.
Alternatively, Professional plans have a full user account system that enables more advanced security features.

Why would I need to use the full user account system included with the Professional plan?

The user account system allows you to grant or revoke access to individuals as needed. It also enables additional features such as Markups and Commenting (coming soon). For further information on user accounts, please consult our help article.

How does billing work and what are my payment options?

I'm on a monthly plan. How am I billed when I expand my storage pool or add users partway through my billing period?

You’ll pay a prorated amount based on the remaining time in your current monthly billing period. For example, if you expand your storage pool with 10 days left in your monthly billing period, you’ll only pay for those 10 days. Prorated amounts are calculated down to the minute that you made the change.

I'm on a yearly plan. How am I billed when I expand my storage pool or add users partway through my billing period?

You’ll pay a prorated amount based on the remaining time in your current yearly billing period. For example, if you expand your storage pool with 75 days left in your yearly billing period, you’ll only pay for those 75 days. Prorated amounts are calculated down to the minute that you made the change.

What are my payment options?

We support Credit and Debit cards – Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, Diners Club, and JCB. Please contact us if you prefer to pay via ACH, bank wire transfer, or an alternative method.

What are my downgrade plans and cancel options?

Can I upgrade or downgrade my plan later?

Yes, you can upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time by contacting us. Plan upgrades and downgrades do not change your billing period (yearly or monthly), and work as follows:

  • For plan upgrades: You’ll receive a billing statement the day after your plan upgrade. The statement will show a prorated credit for the remainder of your old plan and prorated charge for the new plan. The balance due will be charged to your payment method.
  • For plan downgrades: You’ll receive a billing statement the day after your plan downgrade. The statement will show a prorated credit for the remainder of your old plan along with details about your new plan. You will receive a prorated statement credit, which will automatically be used to decrease the amount due in future billing periods but will not be refunded back to your payment method.

What if I decide to cancel?

You may cancel at any time. Your subscription will remain active until the end of your current billing period.

Do you offer any discounts?

Annual billing offers discounts compared to monthly billing, with additional savings on asset storage capacity for yearly plans.  We also provide discounts for educational institutions. Please reach out to us for more details.

Does Enterprise come with everything?

Features exclusive to the Enterprise plans can be added à la carte.  For detailed pricing information on each feature, please contact us directly.

Can I install Nira on-prem or within my organization's preferred cloud service provider?

Yes, custom deployments incur additional licensing fees. Please reach out to us for further details.
